About Purushothaman
I am a FIDE Master in Chess, holding Three International Master Norms and trained my students who became Grandmaster, Woman Grandmaster, two FIDE Masters, and One International Master. I am also giving coaching to enterprising students who seek to improve their standards whether it be beginner, intermediate or advanced.

I teach and seek to learn every area of chess - opening, middlegame, endgame, combinations, positional play, tactics, strategy, studies, checkmate problems, critical thinking, logical thinking, psychology, and tournament preparation.
While teaching I select the student, play few games with him/her and after having adjudged their strength I decide on whether to start with endgames, middlegames, or openings. Typically the student level is between 1000-1800.
I also study, pay and accept classes from masters since I yearn to stay competitive and be a practical chess player and trainer as long as possible. My age is 33.
