About Fatoumata

I am fluent in three different languages including French and English. I hold a BA in Child and Youth Care (Child Protection Specialization) and have been working in the field for more than a decade. French Tutoring That Meets You Where You Are
I offer beginner-friendly French lessons focused on both speaking and writing — whether you're just starting out or looking to build a stronger foundation. My approach is practical, encouraging, and tailored to your pace.
You can choose the format that works best for you:
Virtual sessions – $30/hour Learn from anywhere. These sessions are just as effective as in-person and offer flexibility for busy schedules.
In-person sessions – $40/hour Available across Greater Victoria. A $10 travel fee applies.
Package options:
5 hours for $190
10 hours for $390
Packages are paid upfront and can be split however you wish — whether that’s once a week, twice a week, or something else. The maximum length per session is 1 hour.

Ms Fatoumata is the very best!!! My son has been a student of Ms Fatouata since Jan 2025 as he was struggling with comprehension in French immersion. Recently, I added my daughter as a student, because the grammar practice is so helpful. Fatoumata's gifts are her endless patience, the way she encourages the kids to keep trying, and the way she keeps them interested and engaged. Her visual materials are very good, and every lesson has a combination of writing, speaking and reading. The kids are both making great strides in this arena and they really like her. This was a solid win for me!
