About Jace
My journey into teaching French began during my years studying linguistics in Paris, where I fell in love with the grace and rhythm of the language. After eight years of teaching, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for how language learning can shape not only communication but confidence and worldview. Watching students unlock new ways of expressing themselves has been the most rewarding part of my work. I approach teaching with patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability. I tailor each lesson to fit individual needs — some thrive on conversation, others on grammar structure or creative writing. I use authentic cultural content, from music to cinema, to bring lessons to life. My classroom is a space where curiosity thrives and mistakes are celebrated as steps toward fluency. My French lessons are a balance of structure and soul — designed to make students love both the precision and poetry of the language. I focus on conversation, pronunciation, and grammar, but always within meaningful, human contexts. Whether it’s ordering in a café, analyzing a poem, or discussing films, I make learning French a living, breathing experience.
Beginners start with foundational grammar, pronunciation, and simple dialogue. Intermediate learners explore tenses, descriptive writing, and listening comprehension, while advanced students refine their fluency through literature, debate, and authentic cultural materials. I also provide DELF/DALF preparation and academic writing support. My approach is highly interactive — every lesson encourages students to speak confidently and think in French naturally.
What I love most about teaching French is seeing students discover its emotional richness — how a single phrase can carry elegance, humor, or subtlety. Over time, learners begin to feel rhythm in speech, melody in sentences, and confidence in communication. Many tell me they start thinking in French — a profound sign of mastery.
