I am a dedicated and highly motivated tutor with a genuine passion for teaching and academic excellence. My long-term ambition is to become a university professor, which is why I am pursuing a strong academic pathway and plan to undertake a PhD. Teaching is not a side interest for me; it is central to my future career.
I take great pride in delivering well-structured, professional, and engaging lessons that are tailored to each student. I believe confidence grows when students clearly understand what is expected of them and can see their progress over time. My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and academically rigorous, creating an environment where students feel supported while being challenged to improve.
With over five years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level English, I have helped students achieve significant grade improvements, including top grades (8s and 9s at GCSE). My university training has strengthened my analytical approach, and I bring these high academic standards into every lesson.

My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and academically rigorous. I focus on developing students’ analytical thinking, essay writing, and exam technique, helping them understand how to approach English at a high level rather than relying on memorisation.
A core part of my teaching is the use of a shared working Google Doc, updated after every lesson. This document includes a lesson overview, key notes, feedback, and agreed homework, allowing students to track progress clearly and actively contribute their own ideas and questions between sessions.
Through my university study and close academic connections with English graduates, I have access to a wide range of high-quality essays, model responses, and curated reading lists. These resources help students see what top-level work looks like and strengthen their reading, vocabulary, and critical engagement with texts.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are carefully planned with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
I have over five years’ experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level English, with multiple students achieving grades 8 and 9 at GCSE. I am currently completing an undergraduate degree in Law and History, with ambitions to pursue a PhD, which informs my academic approach.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students (ages 13–18), including those aiming for top grades or seeking structured academic support.
