About Aimilia
I am a native Greek speaker, born and raised in Athens, Greece where I studied English Language and Literature at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens with a minor in Greek language teaching. I hold a master's in Literary Translation from Trinity College Dublin and have been working as both a language teacher and translator for the past 8 years. For the past few years of my life I have been living and working in Ireland.
I have been raised multilingual and I love learning languages myself, as well as teaching them to others. I am currently attending classes to improve my Polish. I also speak English, Greek, German and Russian.
Being a student myself has helped me understand the challenges of learning a language at a deeper level, while teaching a language to others has taught me how to be compassionate and empathetic, as well as open to feedback.

I am fully certified to teach and speak both languages at a native level. After years of experience I have created my own materials that I regularly update and embellish.
A typical lesson would be about 45 minutes to an hour, where we could practice all skills (speaking, reading, writing, listening) or focus on a particular one that you need (e.g. conversational lessons).
I am a big fan of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), that is focused on learning a language through meaningful use rather than isolated grammar, as well as TBLT (Task-Based Language Teaching), where learners complete real-life tasks using the target language.
The focus of my lessons is to help my students become confident and comfortable with using the language in real scenarios of everyday life. I try to keep my lessons simple and interactive, focusing on skills that can later be used in real situations.
I love incorporating cultural elements and original materials into our lessons. We will use a combination of sources tailored to your needs and interest in order to make the lessons as interesting and effective as possible!
