About Gary
I have been a musician for many decades. I studied formally on brass instruments in Sydney where I played in Lane Cove Junior Brass Band. I studied guitar from age 14 learning various styles & techniques over the years as well as the relevant theory. I played professionally in Germany & other European countries for several years. I have been teaching all age groups since the late 70's part time & from 2007 full time.

My teaching method is tailored to suit the needs of each individual student as each have their own aspirations & goals. I proceed at the speed of the student with no pressure other than to insist on good practice habits which again are tailored to the time available as the commitment time wise is different for each student. I do feel it's important for lessons to be fun, interesting, inspiring & enjoyable. I also offer other services such as string changes & help purchasing guitars or other needed equipment as I appreciate a newer student will not always know which instrument offers the best value & playability. I also offer minor repairs when needed.
