About Nicole

Hello, I am Nicole! I am a high school student who has taken AP, IB, DE, and college courses. I also attended Stanford University's Summer Quarter, where I earned a 3.95 GPA, and am a member of Johns Hopkins' Center for Talented Youth. I will be attending University College London, a top-ten university worldwide, in the fall.

I view every student as a unique learner. By combining academic coaching with executive functioning skills—like organization and time management—I empower students to take ownership of their education. My Teaching Method and Techniques
Adaptive Session Formats: I offer both student-led sessions (to encourage autonomy and tackle immediate hurdles) and tutor-led sessions (to provide a structured curriculum and fill foundational gaps).

The Triple-Threat Support Model: My sessions are strategically balanced between daily teaching (new concepts), homework management (current tasks), and targeted test/quiz prep (long-term performance).

Executive Function Coaching: Beyond just the subject matter, I help students develop the organizational skills and study habits they need to manage their workload independently.

A Typical Lesson Plan

The Check-In (5 mins): Reviewing the school day and identifying immediate "pain points."

Concept Deep-Dive (20-30 mins): Direct instruction or homework walkthrough using interactive examples.

The "Driver’s Seat" (15 mins): The student solves a problem independently while I provide real-time, corrective feedback.

The Wrap-Up (5 mins): Summarizing what was learned and setting a goal for the next session.
