About Ilesa

I’m an English teacher, IELTS coach, course designer, and English-language content creator with 17+ years of teaching experience and 12+ years specialising in IELTS.

Over the years, I’ve taught students with very different backgrounds, goals, and levels. What has kept me teaching is my interest in how people learn a language and how they can move from knowing English to actually using it naturally.

I teach English because I enjoy seeing that moment when something that seemed difficult suddenly becomes clear — when a student finds the right words, develops an idea, speaks more naturally, or finally understands why a sentence works.

My lessons combine experience, explanation, practice, and honest feedback. I don't want students simply to memorise English; I want them to understand it, use it, and gradually become independent English users.

About the lesson

With 17+ years of English teaching experience and 12+ years specialising in IELTS, I help students improve their English systematically and prepare more effectively for the IELTS exam.

I specialise particularly in Writing and Speaking, where detailed feedback and personalised correction can make a real difference. I identify your weaknesses, explain exactly what needs to improve, and give you practical techniques and targeted practice to make progress.

Whether your goal is IELTS Band 7+, improving your general English, becoming more confident in speaking, or preparing for an academic or professional situation, we'll build the lessons around your current level and your goal.

You won't simply follow a textbook. You'll understand what you're doing, practise it, receive detailed feedback, and know what to work on between lessons.

Online lessons are conducted via Google Meet.
