I have achieved a Band score of 8.0 in IELTS (7.5 in Writing) and migrated to Canada in 2018. I know how I struggled to get the right direction to be successful in IELTS. I break down my students’ writing and encourage them to find out their own writing structure, since following others’ method lower the chance of getting 7+ in writing. Moreover, I continue to provide feedback on my students’ writings even after finishing classes with me.

For the IELTS preparation course, I usually prefer to give two (2) lessons per marking criterion, making eight (8) lessons for the entire course. I take the classes with my own materials, and I provide sufficient practice materials.

Getting a 7+ score in IELTS writing is always a challenge for the students. Anyone motivated to get CLB-9 in IELTS writing, contact me.

  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

Languages have always attracted me since my childhood. I love to know about different languages. I started learning English in elementary school, and after graduating high school, I chose to study English literature and language. Just after my bachelor's and first MA degree, I started teaching English. My passion for teaching made me do another MA in English Language Teaching. I taught IELTS preparation programs during my MA degree. During my third (!) MA at Carleton University, I learned about academic research through my MA thesis and my Teaching Assistant position. I love to help students who are struggling in their academic writing or IELTS preparation because I was in their shoes before, and I know how important it is to talk to someone when things are hard.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

High stake tests like IELTS can help someone achieve their dream of studying abroad or becoming a permanent resident, or they can crash many people's dreams. On the other hand, academic writing is no one's first language; everyone should learn about it in colleges and universities. I know how difficult academic writing can be for students. A simple chat can generate lots of ideas and provide the opportunity to see the research from other persons' points of view, which is crucial in conducting research. I am passionate about helping those struggling, just like I did, and easing their burden.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

Tutoring is problem-solving and making people smile during their hectic times. It is quite rewarding to see someone is relieved when things work out with their test preparation or academic writing. It feels so great when people thank me from the bottom of their hearts. It helps to think positively and strive forward to help more people daily. I never give up on my students, and I try different ways if something is not understood on the first try.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

There are many teachers to talk about when it comes to acknowledging their contribution in life. However, my role model for my academic journey as a researcher would be my thesis supervisor from my second MA. She made me believe that I have the potential to do research. I thought I was not fit for academic research. But she pushed me again and again and never gave up on me. I am grateful that I had a mentor like her. She is always busy with her research and publications and inspires me to do better.
  • What are your keys to success?

I believe there is no shortcut to success. Hard work and patience is the key to success. Sometimes we are too close to success, but we lose patience and stop working hard. Everyone has the talent and potential in them. However, hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard.
