About Iana
Hello! My name is Iana, and I’m passionate about helping others master the Malay language with confidence. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable, meaningful, and suited to each student’s goals and pace. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), where I’ve developed strong communication and teaching skills through both academic and practical experiences. As a dedicated tutor, I take pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, practice actively, and build self-confidence in using Malay. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your fluency, I am committed to guiding you with patience, clear explanations, and structured lessons. My goal is to help every student not only learn Malay — but truly enjoy the process of learning it.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop strong communication skills in Malay through interactive and engaging lessons. I use a combination of reading, writing, listening, and speaking exercises that are tailored to each student’s learning style. I also include practical examples, daily conversation practice, and grammar activities to make learning both fun and effective. Each lesson typically lasts 1-2 hours, allowing enough time to explain new topics, practice, and review progress. I am a finance degree student from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) with a strong background in academic writing and effective communication in Malay and English. My tutoring experience includes helping school and university students improve their Malay for both academic and conversational purposes. My lessons are suitable for primary, secondary, and university students, as well as anyone who wants to enhance their Malay language proficiency for study, work, or daily use.
