About Yung
I am a researcher at an NGO and have been offering tutorials on a part time basis. I have been teaching Mandarin for 2 years. Students are from university level to adult learners. University students focus more on oral expression and within 4 weeks students are able to conduct basic conversation. Adult learners focus more on reading and understanding Chinese philosophy, which consists of Confucius, Taoism.

To university students who focus more on oral expression, my method is to equip them with basic and daily words and sentences and followed by conversation we may hear in a Chinese film. Applying the conversation structure we see in a film to quickly equip the students with basic conversation ability in Mandarin.
To adult learners who focus more on reading and understanding Chinese philosophy. my method is to offer a verse from ancient classics and start by explaining each word use and form toward paragraph structure and then philosophy.
My course of Chinese philosophy has been well-received and is the most popular and longest tutorials I offered.
