About Rahaf
Hi! I'm a PhD candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. While I've taught both small and large university classes, my favorite part of teaching is working one-on-one with young students. I genuinely enjoy helping children and teenagers gain confidence in math and science, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a student go from struggling with a concept to solving problems independently.

Every lesson is personalized to the student's needs and school curriculum. Before we meet, I review their textbook, homework, or class material and prepare targeted practice problems. During the lesson, I explain concepts clearly, solve examples together, and then assess understanding with additional questions until the student feels confident. I enjoy working with students of all abilities, whether they need extra support, want to improve their grades, or are looking for a challenge. I'm also happy to help with homework, exam preparation, and staying organized with schoolwork.
