About MyKina
I am a teacher who is passionate about creating a classroom environment where the value of education is deeply appreciated. Students learn best when they have someone to model the work efficiently. My lessons usually start with a low-risk 'Do Now' that introduces the student to the lesson. Do Now is briefly reviewed and then integrated into the lesson. 3-5 problems will be introduced to the student. The first problem will be the "I do" problem so that I am able to model what I am looking for the student to achieve at the end of the lesson. This is followed by a "we do" problem that is done with the student and I. Depending on how well the student does for the "we do" problem, I may provide more practice problems, promoting productive struggle, to determine if the student has mastered the standard.
