Ali is a respected tutor in our community. He is highly recommended for his commitment and the quality of his lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Ali
With over 15 years of experience teaching mathematics in Quebec, I bring a combination of deep mathematical expertise and professional classroom experience that helps students learn with clarity and confidence. I hold a degree in Pure Mathematics and a degree in Math Education, and I’ve taught in respected institutions such as Dawson College and Villa Maria College. This background allows me to quickly understand how students think, pinpoint their challenges, and guide them toward meaningful, lasting progress.
I founded Sapienta, an educational project dedicated to creating high-quality math resources and structured learning pathways. The materials I use with my students—concept modules, DiaSheets, practice banks, and exam-prep activities—are carefully designed to make learning intuitive, rigorous, and genuinely enjoyable.
My approach is calm, patient, and highly structured. Students appreciate how I break down difficult ideas, build their confidence step by step, and help them master both the school curriculum and deeper mathematical thinking. I focus on academic character as much as performance: better reasoning, clearer explanations, stronger problem-solving habits, and a mindset ready for long-term success.
I work with learners from secondary school, Cégep, and early university, whether they are catching up, strengthening foundations, aiming for high grades, or preparing for contests or enrichment. Every student receives professional guidance adapted to their needs and goals, supported by Sapienta’s high-quality learning tools.

My lessons follow a clear, structured approach focused on deep understanding rather than memorization. I use intuitive explanations, guided reasoning, and high-quality Sapienta learning materials to help students build confidence and master concepts.
Teaching Method
- Concepts explained through visuals, examples, and simple reasoning
- Guided questioning to build strong problem-solving habits
- Personalized Sapienta practice sheets for each student’s level
- Calm, structured lessons designed to develop academic confidence
Typical Lesson:
1. Quick check-in to target the goal of the session
2. Exploration of the concept through examples or real situations (If needed)
3. Guided practice with increasing difficulty (If needed)
4. Independent problems using Sapienta resources
5. A short recap to reinforce learning
What Sets My Lessons Apart
- A dual background in pure math and math education
- Experience teaching from secondary to university

Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience had by the students of Ali.
Perfect! Ali is an excellent math teacher, very professional, has a strong knowledge of his material, adjusts his teaching to the level of the student and encourages him to attain his full potential. My son connected very well with him since the first lesson, we are really eager to continue tutoring with Ali.
- I recently met with Aariyan for our first session and was very impressed with his level. He demonstrates strong precision in calculations and solid mastery of algebraic properties.Ali's response :
Our focus moving forward will be on strengthening his problem-solving strategies for word problems, particularly in optimization and related rates. We’ve also set a plan to consolidate his algebra skills for integral calculus and practice a wide range of integration techniques to prepare him confidently for Calculus II.

Ali and I completed our Master's together, going on to work together in a teaching capacity for 3 years after that. We taught math side by side in high school and have shared dozens of conversations about how to teach—and nurture a love for—math.
As a friend, colleague, and collaborator, Ali has taught me about Cavalieri's theorem, tricks for solving tricky trigonometry problems, and the foundations of calculus. He knows how to challenge me and how to bring out my strengths as a learner.
Ali is profoundly kind. He is highly patient, deeply knowledgeable about the history and concepts of mathematics, and has an incisive wit to top it off.
Ali is a valuable member of every community he joins, and I wholeheartedly recommend his tutoring services to my own students now that we work at different schools. He adds value everywhere he goes, and always puts a smile on my face (and gives me a fun/challenging math problem to ponder) when I see him.
Trust me on this one: stick with Ali for a while and you'll find yourself evolving as a learner, both in confidence and in content knowledge.
So, what are you waiting for?My daughter worked with Ali last semester in CEGEP and successfully passed her courses with confidence. Ali has outstanding knowledge in his field—something even my husband, an engineer, truly appreciated—and he is incredibly patient. He was recommended by one of my daughter’s former teachers, who described him as a genius, and we couldn’t agree more. Ali showed great professionalism and expertise throughout.
Ali was my math tutor for three consecutive years, from Grade 11 through CEGEP calculus and linear algebra, and he was hands down the best math teacher I’ve had. He explained concepts clearly, helped me become a stronger problem solver, and my school performance consistently improved thanks to his support. I’m truly grateful for his help.
