About Jay
I hold a master's degree in maths from Heriot-Watt University and a PhD in applied maths from the University of Glasgow. After completing my PhD, I worked as a maths lecturer and researcher for 6 years. I recently left the university sector and have found that I miss teaching, tutoring, and connecting with students via the learning experience.

I have a relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring which is informed by my belief that everyone learns best when they are comfortable and supported in their learning.
I carefully prepare bespoke materials ahead of each session which are tailored to your specific learning goals and stage. This includes curated exam-preparation materials to help optimise your performance.
I offer one-to-one or small group sessions in person or online sessions depending on what is most mutually convenient. Sessions can also be delivered from my smoke-free, pet-free home.
