About Karolina
I am a 3rd-year medical student aspiring to work in the Emergency Department, but I still have 2 years to go to graduate! As a medical student, you have to go above and beyond, so I can give you some tips and tricks to help motivate you to excel! I have been tutoring for 3 years and have plenty of experience with guiding students to succeed. I am committed to making Science accessible and enjoyable for all students. I have managed to aid students to reach their full potential and inspire a new passion for the subject!
In my spare time, I volunteer with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, attending 999 calls alongside paramedics, as well as proudly representing and voicing student opinions as a Student Rep within the university. So, if you are struggling with time management, and organisation or just want help with your studies, I am more than happy to help!

To structure a lesson, it's important to first assess the student's needs and learning style. This can be done through a pre-assessment or a conversation with the student to identify areas of difficulty that they would like to focus on- tailored to their needs.
In delivering lessons, I create a supportive and positive learning environment by keeping open communication and ensuring the atmosphere fun. I often encourage them to celebrate achievements and highlight their progress. My sessions are focused on the student's needs, starting with the hardest concepts, and breaking them down into manageable chunks. At the end of every session, I like to consolidate the learning with an exam question, to make sure the student understood the topic. I am always open to new ways of teaching. No topic is too hard to explain!
To help students achieve their goals, I ensure to establish clear learning objectives and regularly review progress towards those objectives. This may involve setting achievable targets, providing feedback on student work, and regularly assessing and adjusting teaching methods to ensure that they are effective.
To measure the progress, I try to involve a variety of methods, such as quizzes, exams, or assessments of student work. It's important to provide constructive feedback on student performance, highlighting areas of strength and areas for improvement, thus I aim to provide feedback on every lesson.
