About Yan Yat
Hi! I’m an undergraduate Occupational Therapy student at Monash University from Hong Kong with tutoring experience in both primary and secondary settings.
I genuinely enjoy building connections with students and spending time together (maybe because I'm an extrovert haha!). Seeing even small improvements in their learning gives me a strong sense of achievement and motivates me to keep teaching.
As I may undertake pediatric placements in the future, tutoring is also a valuable opportunity for me to further develop my skills while helping students grow in confidence.

I offer personalised, student-centred tutoring with custom-made learning materials designed to suit each student's needs and learning style. Lessons focus on building strong foundations through guided practice and clear explanations.
I have experience tutoring secondary school Maths in group classes for public exam preparation, as well as volunteering as a primary school tutor providing one-on-one Chinese Language support. Also, I have worked in a primary school after-school program supporting students with homework.
I can confidently teach Primary and Junior Secondary students in most subjects (excluding Chinese, which I can teach at all levels). Lessons usually run for 1–2 hours depending on the student’s goals. I welcome learners of all ages.
