I am an experienced piano and music-theory teacher with a strong personal background in theory examinations, including particularly high results in my Grade 6 and Grade 7 theory exams.
I have prepared students for ABRSM examinations and have a track record of students achieving distinctions. I especially enjoy teaching music theory and composition, and helping students understand how harmony, melody and musical structure actually work rather than simply memorising rules.
I also bring more than a decade of teaching experience across schools and universities, so I am comfortable explaining difficult ideas clearly and adapting lessons to different learning styles. My previous piano-teaching work included weekly lesson planning and ABRSM examination preparation.
