• 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

  I first developed a passion for music while I as in high school. My music teacher's heavily inspired me to pursue a career in music where I had discovered I had a talent for singing. From then on I joined bands, choirs and was part of concerts still to the present day, and still even now vocal has always been my favourite instrument.

• 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  My favourite style of music would have to be pop ballads as lyrically it tells a story and it conveys an emotion beautifully. Personally I could listen to Adele or a musical on repeat and never get tired of it.

• 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  The most difficult part of the course I can teach would probably be basic music theory and/or in terms of singing it would be songs that would widen a persons vocal range.

• 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  I believe the most complicated instrument to master would probably be a string instrument as the precision must be perfection to gain a clear note from it.

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success would be to practice regularly to keep the mental memory building, expanding your knowledge of music whether it's from an academic piece of written work to a physical performance as most people realise these things go hand in hand when it comes to confidence. Knowing a lot about a certain topic can boost your confidence by a mile. Staying calm is a very important thing to do as trying to work while nervous or under pressure will cause you to not perform or achieve to your full potential. However, most importantly, enjoying what you are doing will keep you motivated which builds the road to success.

• 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  Musicians I would adore to meet would be Adele, Dolly Parton and Celine Dion as these artists have worked as hard as they could and never gave up on their dream to becoming a musician. These are the artists that have inspired me and kept me motivated to keep working because they have proven themselves to world what they are worth.

• 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  Music isn't just something that we listen to, it is what we have created for people to feel.

• 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  As a tutor I am patient, kind, confident and I excel in my field. I know a lot about singing and techniques used to sing to perfection. I help a student build confidence not just with their performance but in themselves, I always help a student thrive in music and teach them what they want to learn. Music isn't just about what you can or could do, but it is about what you want to achieve and I can help you get to where you want to be.
