About Elinor

I am a young at heart retired kindergarten teacher and have a vast knowledge of patchwork and quilting which I feel is wasted. When I left teaching I started working at patchwork shops in Perth and loved teaching people patchwork and quilting and starting them on a wonderful journey for many years to come.

I see young people of all ages enjoying sewing and although there is so much for one to learn about sewing and quilting on u-tube, it just doesn't beat having someone in real life showing you how to do it.

So if you feel that you would love one of those gorgeous quilts you see, then give me a call and arrange a few lessons to get you on your way.

About the lesson
Patchwork is very much hands on and I like to show a student how to do something rather than tell them. I can watch them sewing and help if they are having difficulties. I also help them to learn how to use their sewing machines in the best possible way.

Patchwork is a wonderful craft to learn as you can sew all kinds of useful things like bags, table mats and oven mitts,
I can teach from 11 years of age to adults, all genders welcome.

It takes a little while to set oneself up to start sewing and a one hour lesson is not going to give you the time needed to achieve something but 2 hours would give enough time to advance with a project.
A lesson of 1 hour at my house in the lovely hills costs $30 for 1 hour and $60 for 2 hours using my own equipment minus fabric.
