About My Lessons

Hi, I'm Ella – a passionate and patient piano tutor with over 15 years of experience playing piano and AMEB qualifications up to Grade 5. I’ve been immersed in music since I was four years old, and now I love helping others discover the joy of playing piano for themselves.

My teaching approach is friendly, flexible, and student-centred. I believe learning piano should be an enjoyable and encouraging experience, tailored to suit each student’s unique goals, pace, and musical interests. Whether you're learning classical pieces, modern songs, or simply want to improve your sight-reading or technique, I adapt my lessons to make learning fun and achievable.

Lesson Structure:

Typical lesson duration is 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your level and preference.

We’ll usually start with warm-ups and technical exercises, followed by repertoire, and finish with theory or ear training – all adjusted to the student's age and skill level.

I use a mix of AMEB syllabus material and other engaging resources to keep lessons fresh and motivating.

My lessons are ideal for:

Beginners to intermediate players

Students aged 5 and up – children, teens, and adult learners welcome

Anyone preparing for AMEB exams or learning for leisure

With a strong foundation in AMEB training and a genuine love for teaching, I aim to build confidence, musicality, and a lifelong love for music in every student.
