As the form teacher of Pham Thi Ngoc Hoa, I have observed her learning progress for three years and I have to say she is one of the brightest students in my career. Her qualities that impress me the most are her industry and determination. Once she has set herself a goal, she will make every possible effort to realize it no matter how intimidating the obstacles are. She has thus achieved exceptional records and results in most English examinations, and become one of the best English learners our province has ever had.

An unparalleled pioneer, Hoa actively avails herself of every opportunity to learn from her peers outside our province, and returns to tackle the local youth’s disadvantages. She conscientiously guides them in learning English or applying for social activities. She motivates them to discover their strengths and embrace them. As her teacher and counselor, I greatly appreciate such a determined, cooperative, diligent and intelligent student.

As an English teacher of Hoa in her high school, I am pleased to give her my highest recommendation. Hoa possesses unique intelligence and a matchless determination to break all odds. This is obviously demonstrated by the fact that she was awarded the first ever gold medal in the traditional Olympic 30/4 Competition since our school participated in it, and even the top 3!

Hoa especially emanates a natural understanding for linguistic nuances, whereas her friends are still struggling to differentiate ‘sight’ from ‘vision’. This is partly due to her consistent self-studying efforts: she has a good habit of recording synonyms like ‘destruction/damage/deterioration/ degeneration/degradation’. Moreover, the depth in her sense of analysis and her understanding of an elusive matter interests me a great deal.
