About Craig
I have taught Maths and IT/computing in schools, to both Primary and Secondary age for 23 (aghh!) years.
I have done private tutoring since I was at university, often to end of Key Stage pupils, preparing for SATS or GCSE. Currently I have a mixture though of pupils wanting to catch up considering the struggles of the past year or so. My pupils have always achieved at least the targets in their exams that we have aimed for. They and their parents have always been very complimentary of my teaching, I love it when they say 'Oh, I really understand this now' or 'I really enjoy maths now'!
I have an honours degree in Education with Maths as a specialist subject.

Happy to work with any age up to GCSE, either remotely or in person (if local).
I do try to make it fun and lively where possible (not always possible with maths!) and I prefer to teach a deeper understanding that lasts longer and can be transferred into other topics too, rather than 'tricks'.
I am happy to work on areas that you have identified or I will work through questions and tests with you to see what you understand and choose targets for us to work on together. I don't believe in just setting a test and working from that, I want to see and listen to you working on the test so I can gauge your understanding.

I can’t thank Craig enough, he has been very accommodating with the hours I work to come and help my daughter who not only likes Craig but very much enjoyed how he has taught her certain aspects of maths. I have had a very happy, confident girl going back to school and using what Craig has taught her at home in the classroom. Even my 2 boys joined in. I cannot recommend Craig enough. Thank you
