About Areeba
I am a dedicated Psychology undergraduate with several years of experience tutoring English and Maths to children. I have developed a patient and supportive approach to teaching, and I always aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of their learning.
I have experience teaching KS2 students both individually and in small groups, and I understand that every student learns differently. I take the time to identify areas where a student may need additional support and adapt my lessons accordingly. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident and independent learners.
I am reliable, organised and committed to providing well-prepared lessons. My experience in tutoring, combined with my Psychology degree, has given me strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills that I bring to every lesson.
Whether a student needs help with a particular topic, preparation for an upcoming assessment or simply wants to strengthen their skills, I am committed to providing clear, engaging and effective support.

I am a Psychology undergraduate with several years of experience tutoring children in English and Maths. I provide friendly, structured lessons that are adapted to each student’s individual needs, ability and learning pace.
My approach is centred on making sure students understand the topic rather than simply memorising information. I explain concepts clearly, use examples and worked questions, and then give students the opportunity to practise independently. I also use short quizzes and regular questions to check understanding and identify areas that may need further attention. Building confidence is an important part of my teaching, and I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems without feeling pressured.
Lessons are usually one hour long, although I am happy to adapt the length and structure depending on the student’s age and concentration level. For younger students, I use a variety of activities to keep lessons focused and engaging.
I currently tutor KS2 students in English and Maths and have experience teaching both individual students and small groups. Alongside my tutoring experience, I am studying Psychology at university, which has strengthened my communication, organisation and academic skills.
I offer lessons primarily for KS2 and KS3 students who would benefit from additional support in English or Maths, whether they are preparing for exams, struggling with particular topics or looking to develop their confidence and skills.
