About Gavin
My name is Gavin and I am passionate about helping children become the best learners they can be. My experience in the classroom has taught me that we are all life-long learners who learn in different ways and at different rates. This diversity is something to be celebrated and supported. In my lessons, I inspire my students to grow as independent and confident learners who embrace new ideas and learn from their mistakes. I enjoy making maths a fun and engaging subject for all students!

Who are my lessons for?
Primary school aged children in the Ipswich area who require further assistance in developing maths concepts, knowledge and skills.
How long to my lessons go for?
Depending on the child’s age and specific needs, lessons may vary from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
What is my approach?
Initially, I will assess your child’s current level of understanding
of maths concepts. I will then develop a program that suits the specific needs of the child. I utilise a range of hands on materials to engage students and assist in fostering a deep understanding of maths concepts.
What is my experience?
I have a Bachelor of Primary Teaching from Australia Catholic University and have been teaching in a variety of schools for the past 26 years. Other than being a classroom teacher, I also have held a number of positions within schools such as Numeracy Support teacher.
