About Kirstie
I'm a qualified, friendly, patient and experienced teacher who has been giving private lessons since 2002. I have also taught formal classroom ESOL in both China and the UK for 6 years in total as well as working in primary schools in the UK.
I have a degree in languages from the University of Cambridge, a PGCE from the University of Manchester, A grades in A-level Chemistry and Maths, a CELTA qualification in ESOL and have been working as a successful software engineer for the last 3 years.

I work very much from a growth mindset - the belief that my students can grow their skills and intelligence through focus and practice, regardless of their starting point.
My teaching methodology is based on an awareness that each student learns in a different way and at their own pace. I see my role as providing knowledge, tools and strategies so that my students can become successful and happy independent learners.
