About Rickie-Lee
I completed my Bachelor of Arts & Social Sciences degree with Honours at UNSW and have since enjoyed a position as a first year Sociology/Anthropology tutor. I am skilled in helping students to break down complex ideas in a way that can be more easily understood and applied to everyday life.

I help students to make connections between challenging social theories to everyday examples that they can relate to. This helps to illuminate the insightful ideas that Sociology/Anthropology has to offer us and helps us to understand our lives at a deeper level. Where you take it from there is then up to you!
I am happy to work with students through readings and assignments, whether that be essays or presentations. I will teach you how to approach a reading and how to plan for assignments. I will offer feedback and questions that will prompt your critical thinking skills and help you to achieve a more sophisticated level of understanding that nevertheless can be expressed in simple terms and in a way that is meaningful to you.
I will also work with non-university students who are passionate about learning more about ourselves and how we relate to the world around us and each other. I can create lessons around topics to suit individual interests - Sociology/Anthropology can be applied to pretty much everything!

I've known Rickie-Lee for over a decade and find that I continue to learn more and more from her. In particular, she has a keen understanding of society and how it shapes our individual lives. Rickie-Lee has recently been interested in the way we shop for and eat food and her insights have been useful to apply to my business and help me become a better business owner.
