About Britton

Hi! I’m a mom of three teenagers who keep life full of energy and perspective. I’ve always had a love for language, people, and adventure—whether that’s watching a great movie, diving into a musical theater production, or exploring new places through travel and mission work. For three years, I served at a children's home in Mexico, an experience that deepened my connection to both the culture and the Spanish language. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me involved in community service, enjoying the arts, or planning my next adventure. I believe learning should feel meaningful and encouraging, and I’m excited to help students grow with confidence. And as a travel advisor as well, I can help you plan a perfect vacation to practice your Spanish skills in person! :)

About the lesson

As a Spanish tutor with over seven years of combined immersion and academic study—including three years living in Mexico, two years in high school, and a college minor—I specialize in guiding junior high and high school students through Spanish 1 to 3. My lessons are tailored to each student’s current level and goals, whether they’re supplementing coursework or building a strong foundation from scratch.
For beginners, I focus on noun endings, verb conjugations, and practical applications in conversation to build early confidence. For intermediate learners, lessons include review of verb tenses and deeper grammar concepts to support long-term retention and fluency. A typical session blends vocabulary building, listening practice, and real-life usage with a supportive structure that makes learning accessible and rewarding.
What sets me apart is my ability to create meaningful, customized lesson plans that meet students where they are—while instilling confidence and a genuine connection to the language.

I have observed Britton over a number of years in her roles as a homeschool counselor-op teacher and as a leader of a children’s home with over 100 children and found her to be respected, loved and determined to help children be their best selves. She is a gem.
