I am a dedicated and adaptable educator from New York with a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Over the past two years, I have gained extensive experience as a teaching assistant in Spain, where I taught biology, chemistry, technology, and mathematics to public school students aged 12-16. My role involved creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, fostering both academic and personal growth among my students. Additionally, I worked as a private tutor in Spain, focusing on advancing students' English skills through individualized instruction. As a teaching assistant in Spain, I primarily instructed classes at 1st and 2nd year secondary level, equivalent to 7th and 8th grade in the United States. I worked closesly with full-time teachers to create in-depth lesson plans, activities, and individualized support to those students that may have been behind or ahead of the present curriculum. I primarily assisted in the subjects of biology, chemistry, maths, and technology, with occasional classes in history and English as well. In addition, I provided individualized after-school help to those students which asked. In these private after-school classes I worked with my students to enhance their English conversational skills, addressing their personalized needs and bolstering their knowledge and confidence in the language.
