About Renee
Renee is a warm, dedicated educator with a deep passion for helping young children thrive in their early literacy journey. With many years of teaching experience, she brings both professional expertise and a nurturing approach to every lesson. As a mother of three (all now grown and married) and proud grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren, Renee understands how to connect with young learners in a calm, patient, and encouraging way. Her experience, both in the classroom and at home, gives her a unique ability to make children feel safe, supported, and confident. Renee is especially passionate about early learning intervention and believes that every child deserves the chance to develop strong literacy foundations in their early years. She brings structure, warmth, and a touch of fun to each session—building skills while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.

I’m an experienced teacher offering one-on-one early literacy intervention for children in Prep to Year 3.
I support students who are developing foundational literacy skills, as well as those needing extra help with reading, writing, spelling, or handwriting.
I use the Sounds-Write program, along with decodable readers, to deliver structured, explicit lessons that build strong and lasting literacy foundations. My approach is evidence-based, but also warm, flexible, and engaging.
Lessons typically run for 45 to 60 minutes, and I include fun movement breaks like trampoline time to help kids stay focused and enjoy the learning process. Each session is tailored to the individual needs of the child.
I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow in confidence at their own pace.
