About Karen
I'm an 18-year career educator, including working as a Counselor/Student Services Coordinator. I have worked with students of all ages, ranging from Pre-K to undergraduate, in private and public settings. Teaching is not only my job, but what drives my day-to-day energy. I can't see myself doing something else, not even in the midst of the teacher shortage we face worldwide because of how much education has been left behind in many societies. I will teach and enjoy teaching forever.

Most, if not all, learners are visual more than anything; in any of my lessons students are expected to see multiple visual representations of a specific unit or pictorial models to exemplify a concept. Also, today's world calls for collaboration and direct interaction, and all my lessons are developed from the perspective that students can work as a team. Research shows students learn more from peer interactions than just from a teacher's lecture.
