About Ryan
Even though I have studied with teachers, I'm predominantly self-taught. This means that I appreciate the importance of formal instruction as well as having the freedom to explore, inquire, and experiment.
I have taught at my local Arts Center and in a music store environment. My guitar background includes formal classical guitar training as a performance major at Kent State University, as well as stage experience performing folk, blues, jazz, and rock. I've also been trained in woodwind and brass, in general.
I began formal music training at age 9 on Eb alto saxophone with a woodwind teacher. This was followed by brass instruction with a teacher who is now a formal orchestra member in Europe. I then studied formally with a classical guitar teacher at Kent State University as a performance major. Finally, I have worked professionally as a guitar and bass player with touring Motown and R&B revue acts, as well as lead guitarist with a classic rock lounge band for Carnival Cruise Lines.

Details
I typically charge $20/half hour lesson. In truth, 1hr lessons are preferable, but that is up to the student of course. Monthly payment is accepted, and cancellations are negotiable.
