About Holly
I help actors make their perfomances believable. I always prefer that an actor makes a definite choice as the character. I also want to see an arc in the scene or moologue to show that the actor is on a ride as the character. I also work with actors on their vocal production and enunciation and do warm ups to neutralize the actor's instrument (mind and body) before starting the work. I prefer the Meisner technique as it brings the actor into the present moment and brings life to the role.
It is so exciting to see actors fully inhabiting their characers or is the character inhabiting them? To see a performance that draws you in because it is so human. I love seeing the tranformation in an actor. I direct films and bringing the written word to life is my passion. I believe as actors we can reach and teach the human soul.

We start with vocal and body work, relaxation techniques and breathing work. We then get to some exercises using an independent activity, objectives, repetition and improvisation before we get to scene study and monologues. These exercises get the student accustomed to living truthfully under imaginary circumstances so that when they have a script, they can make it feel fresh every time. I always like my students to perform either on film or in a showcase as acting is easy for an audience of one but the real test is when performing for an audience.
