About Thomas Carey
My name is Thomas Carey Gsell, I've been working in professional and community theater for 19 years. Some previous roles include Toby in Sweeney Todd (NJPAC and SOPAC) Boy in The Velveteen Rabbit (Equity national tour) and a developement reading of The Ghosts Bargain (two River Theater Company). I also have a resume of off stage work including stage management (Stagedoor manor), projection and lighting design (Spring Awakening and The Wiz of Oz with Vangaurd Theater Comany) and directing (Spring Awakening and aren't with MSU Players, Rent and American Idiot as assistant director at NJSDA, and Shrek the Musical with the Talent Time Players). I have also taught at the Park Slope Conservatory. I am always looking for new students who take their craft seriously and are ready to become the next generation of theater makers! Wether it be scene study, song study and voice, or audition prep I'm your guy! if you are interested in working with me please email at (concealed information)
watching young and even veteran performers grow and mature give me immense pleasure. Having a student come to me for audition prep and get the job always fills me with delight. When I see a student so excited by the work they are doing I am reminded of my younger self and all of the teachers who hve helped get to where I am today.
