About Brent

Being a Professional Actor and Director in Hollywood, I have worked on both sides of the camera and script. I know how to speak to the actor as an actor and also as a director.

I teach actors to be Empowered and show them how to prepare for the stage or set, with more than just knowing the lines.

They go in prepared with the entire world within the script created, and they are connected to it in a truthful organic way so it becomes their truth.

I have taught for 6 years at a top acting studio in Los Angeles, working with thousands of actors at every level.

Helping actors Empower themselves and feel confident in their work and themselves is my first goal. I also want to create working actors, not students.

I am very intuitive with my teaching and therefore I allow the student to tell me what they need to learn as opposed to telling them, I do this in many ways, but it is precise and powerful which in turn students get a lot of growth in a short period of time.

I was studying as an actor at the acting studio and had gotten into the Master Class in less than 8 months from intro. I had also been writing and directing for four years, so when the opportunity came up I took a position that allowed me to utilize all my knowledge and skills I had learned as an actor, writer and director to help others.

I have studied all 5 styles of Method Acting, I have been a professional actor and director for nine years in Hollywood, and have taught at one of the most saught after acting studios in L.A. for six years, working with thousands of students at all levels from beginners to movie stars.

About the lesson

I typically talk to them about what their goals are and what they expect to get out of coaching and out of acting.

I then have them read a scene and assess where they are at in their level of work and from there I let them know the main areas are they need to focus on to get the most growth and we would then find scripts and plays that will challenge them in those areas and work on them.

Committed. People who are willing to do the work with no excuses. They show up on time and prepared and care about the craft. You don't have to be naturally talented, I can teach anyone how to become great at acting, but they have to be willing to learn and set their ego aside for growth.

Make sure you work with someone who respects you, pushes you, but in a loving nurturing way. If they talk down to you or belittle you in any way, no matter who they are or what their credentials are, get away. And if anyone say's they have it figured out, run.

Work with someone who inspires you, who holds you accountable, but doesn't teach from fear or a place of power. I tell my student's, I'm not here to teach you, I'm here to guide you back to your true self and voice and show you how to bring that to your work.
