About Diego

As an active international actor in Film, TV & Theater my experience spans over 25 years. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with multiple talented fellow actors and amazing directors from all over the world in different styles.

This is the experience that I draw from when I guide actors into the process for auditions or to prep for a specific role in a film or TV project.

You've got to be prepared (so you can offer a strong authentic choice on set) and yet you've got to be able to throw it all out the window instantly and be able to follow new directions from your director.

I will help prep students in such a way that they own their work and can function in the midst of a professional set - solid choices yet flexible in their attitude.

I love it when the actor lights up because they get it!

When a direction or a suggestion hits home : the performance takes off and the actor wins!!!

I started subbing for my long time teacher Carole D'Andrea who teaches acting and singing performance classes in Hollywood, CA which is where and how I discovered a special talent in coaching fellow actors.

After that individual actors asked me if I could coach them for film projects...

I have a classical education from the Academy for Music and Performing Arts.

6 years of experiece at the National Theater in Hamburg/Germany

25 years of experiece as an actor in international Film & TV productions

And coaching experience with individuals and group classes in Hollywood, CA

About the lesson

The only things required to begin the work is: desire, commitment, passion!

Everything else will come with time...

My suggestion: bring (audition) material you'd like to work on - or else I can make suggestion and supply material.

I actually coached Antonio Banderas in the film OF LOVE AND SHADOWS - I was hired to play his brother and at the time he needed help with his accent and in some situations in the film.

Trust your instincts and do your research that tells you the teacher has professional experience in his field of expertise.

Also, be aware of teachers with big EGOS - find a teacher that will support you in a way that feels humble - yet informed.

I loved my recent independent film BLACK WEDDING for which I was nominated as best actor - and we ultimately received the BEST COMEDY AWARD in Sydney, Australia.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Acting is a skill - talent alone won't get you very far...

Can you commit as a student to put in the work?
