Caldwell molded me into the actor I became as soon as I walked into her first class. The amount of patience, innovation, and the interactive dialogue with the students she teaches is seen through all aspects of her student’s performances. Overall, very sweet, hard-working, and dedicated teacher who will push you to greatness.

I was lucky enough to attend a performing arts high school in Hopkins while Ms Caldwell was teaching drama there. The thing I loved most about Cadwell was how she took the time to get to know every student and their needs individually. She made all of us feel respected, heard and loved. At the same time, she was constantly encouraging us to challenge ourselves and make strong choices in our performances, because she believed in us and knew how much we were capable of even when we didn’t know it yet ourselves. Lastly, Cadwell is just a fun person to be around, with a truly playful spirit. One of my favorite memories from high school was watching her and my other drama teacher zipping around the classroom on little Razor scooters, cracking jokes and having the time of their lives. She is a wonderful educator, and a great friend as well!

Cadwell doesn't teach acting on the surface; she teaches it within. I used to think that acting was just reading some words on a page with some emotion. But after being in Cadwell's acting classes, I learned to take my own emotion and make sense of it through acting. These are things I will take with me through life.

She truly understood me and took the time to make sure I was being the best actor I could be. Her bubbly personality and wacky tendencies make her unforgettably unique and I’ll always remeber my first class with Caldwell.

She made an effort to connect with me on a personal level and helped me figure out what my style was. What I was good at, what I needed to improve on.
She helped me find my wheelhouse. She also encouraged me to keep pushing forward. As a special ed student, getting work done was hard for me. She helped me come up with a plan for how to succeed. She helped me to become who I am as an actor.

Ms. Cadwell is an excellent acting instructor. She did a great job at fostering my strengths, encouraging me develop them more and was great at identifying my weaknesses and improving them. She has broad experience with acting. I have learned voice and diction work from her, as well as physical acting, and monologue and scene work. I would not be the actress I am today if not for her!

Cadwell offers valuable insight into various acting techniques, including those of Uta Hagen and Viewpoints, from multiple perspectives and for a wide range of skill levels. Highly recommend!

Ms. Cadwell always gave personalized advice and direction, and I felt that I was able to really learn and explore in her class. Her classes were always fun, and I really grew as an actor in my time working with her.

Louisa Cadwell is an amazing instructor, she is kind and thoughtful while also pushing you to improve and be the best you can. She is very hands on and has a plethora of knowledge to share!

Cadwell changed my life, she stuck with me through thick and thin my entire school career, and I went through some pretty rough times but she always had my back. As an educator, she can’t be beat, her spirit and enthusiasm for the subjects she teaches make her stand out from the crowd. She never fails to speak her mind and get up on stage with us to show us how to move. She is an amazing soul and i feel lucky to have been taught by her.

Ms Cadwell was the hands down greatest teacher in my high school. Her knowledge of theatre is astounding and she herself is so kind. Every acting coach should be eccentric and Cadwell is no exception....she is funny and weird in all the best ways. She made efforts to connect deeply with every one of her students and strived to help each of us meet our goals as performers. Anyone lucky enough to spend time learning with her is truly blessed. She taught us costume design, fundamentals of acting, the history of theatre, and so many more topics that I cant even think of, and she taught all of them in a way that made sense to everyone in the room. Truly an amazing teacher.
