We worked with Lisa for acting for almost a year before our move and my daughter still takes voice lessons with her via zoom. It is clear that Lisa has a passion for both and she is incredible as both a director and a voice coach.
In directing, Lisa is kind, attentive, and responsive and encourages the students to voice their opinions when they have ideas. She encourages her students to push themselves out of their comfort zone to better themselves but doesnt demand it to make sure they stay comfortable. She can feel the importance to have each person feel involved in the lessons rather than have them feel like they are in a class at school. Plays were always cast based on auditions and talent, and she always made sure there was a panel of judges who had not worked with the kids auditioning previously to prevent the fear of favoritism.
In singing lessons, my daughter has already improved in just a few lessons with singing and is excited to see how she will progress in upcoming lessons. She was nervous at first to do it over zoom, even having worked with Lisa previously, but once they got going, she was so eager and keeps asking me when they can start back up!!!
