About Olivia
I have always had a passion for helping people. Throughout the years, I have understood that my real passions are kiddos and education. I have helped numerous students, friends, and strangers understand information.
I have always loved helping people. As a long-time student, I hate the feeling of not understanding a concept. I hope to be able to teach kids in a way that helps them to understand the concepts, not just memorize them and move on.
I am not a teacher, but I have been a tutor for many years. I have always been at the top of my class, and my classmates would ask for help. Even from a young age, I have been eager to help and share information.
I am 22 years old and in graduate school for Occupational Therapy. I have been informally tutoring students for about 4 years off and on, but am hoping to make a difference in kid's lives.

I like to get to know the student individually. Some people learn best with hands-on learning and others work best with linear facts. Whatever the student's learning method, I do my best to accommodate their strengths into the lessons.
I have worked with ages 7-20 with a variety of skill levels and materials.
Get to know the tutor. Not every student works great with every tutor. Ask questions! And always be ready to learn the material in a different way.
I recently graduated from college and have successfully completed my first year of graduate school.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think it would be great if the student could understand their own needs prior to the sessions. For example, if you come to a session and say, "I am struggling in math", the teacher/tutor does not have a lot of information. However, if you say, "I don't understand fractions", the teacher can quickly help you to learn.
