About Tanner
I am a 2017 graduate who majored in Finance and Economics. I was a college tutor for business statistics as well as business accounting classes. My first 2.5 years out of college were spent working as an accountant, so it is second nature to me. I am able to relate real life experiences to text book material in order to help the learning process.
I started teaching in college to my classmates. Our teacher was foreign and didn't have a grasp of the English language. Luckily I had taken AP Statistics in high school and college statistics was a recap of my high school experience.
I majored in finance and economics. I started out majoring in accounting. I was 2 classes shy of having an additional accounting degree.

My typical process is gathering a basic understand of the students strengths and weaknesses. Not only so I can help them with their weaknesses, but also encourage them based on their strengths. Next step is to make a physical plan on how to learn/study the material in a way that makes it maneagable and not overwhelming.
I worked with foreign exchange students as well as high school students and college students.
Make sure your teacher is truest focused on helping you learn and get the grade you need. Yes, money is what is driving the teacher to be here, but make sure you are getting your moneys worth out of it.
My recent event I am fond of is assisting 12 students in passing their financial accounting exams.

What areas have they mastered, what areas do they need assistance on, what studying techniques have they exhausted already, how do they study best and what course are they taking thag is requiring the tutoring. Meaning, how severe is the need for assistance.

Details
Prices vary based on what is requested. If it is purely studying then my rate is $25 per hour. If they have a tear or a quiz they are working on and need assistance then it is $50 per hour. If they do not make a B or higher then the rate is $25 for that hour.
