About Barbara
I intermittently tutored individuals and groups in the Arabic language, working with both children and adults, over the course of about thirty years, while maintaining a full-time university teaching position. My work as a private tutor has been mostly in-person, but, beginning in 2020, I also gained online teaching experience. I love the Arabic language, and was committed to becoming an Arabic teacher from the day I first began studying it. I am also a literary translator, and have published, in addition to various short pieces that have appeared in journals, my English translations of six novels originally written in Arabic.
