About Erik
I have a higher knowledge of Aviation then your average CFI. I will give you the tools to help you be the best pilot you can be. I am passionate about teaching every student as though they are my only student and giving them personal service and provide each student with a foundation for success!
I enjoy seeing a student grow from a non flyer, to a solo student into a full-fledged aviator.
I went to college for Aviation, majored in aviation flight and management at Southern Illinois University. I completed my Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Airplane Colorado.

The first part of learning to fly, is sitting down with me and consulting the minimum requirements for flying, materials you need to have, and the process of going about to getting your education. Each lesson is comprised of two parts a ground portion which is called a briefing, and the flight portion or we fly the lesson. At the end of each flight there will be a critique called a debriefing, where we highlight strengths, and highlight weaknesses and plans to attack those weaknesses to make them strengths.
While you were shopping for a teacher my best advice for you is to listen to the teacher for keywords, those keywords should interest you, not the instructor.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
If you are a slow learner, which is common, and Aviation everybody learns at a different pace. Ask the instructor, or the organization in which you were shopping in how they will help you get through without going too fast?
