About Rob

Hi, I'm Coach Rob, a seasoned baseball coach with over 10 years of experience on the baseball field and 20 years experience coaching youth athletes . Throughout my career, I have honed my skills and developed a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential on and off the field.

As a former president of the local little league and an All-Star Coach for Babe Ruth Baseball, I have gained invaluable experience and knowledge about the sport. Moreover, I have had the privilege of coaching in major travel ball tournaments all over the country, including ESPN Wide World of Sports and Cooperstown.

I take pride in my coaching services because I have a proven track record of success. My two boys, whom I have coached since they were young, have grown into competitive athletes and baseball players who have won numerous baseball tournaments. I attribute this success to my coaching philosophy, which is centered around cultivating a love of the game and fostering a growth mindset in my players.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, I'm confident that my coaching services will help you take your game to the next level. Let's work together to achieve your goals and unlock your full potential as a baseball player.

One of the most rewarding aspects of coaching for me is the opportunity to work with youth athletes and watch them grow and develop into better athletes. It brings me great joy to see my players progress and reach their full potential through hard work, dedication, and a love of the game.

I believe that coaching is more than just teaching the technical aspects of the sport. It's also about cultivating a positive learning environment where players feel empowered and supported to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. I enjoy working with youth athletes because they have an eagerness to learn and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Through my coaching services, I strive to instill values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect in my players, both on and off the field. I believe that these values are essential not just for success in sports, but for success in life.

Overall, I take great pride in being a youth baseball coach and feel privileged to be a part of my players' journeys as they grow into better athletes and individuals. I look forward to working with more young athletes in the future and helping them achieve their goals.

I have been coaching youth athletes for over 20 years now. It all started with coaching my own daughters in various sports when they were young. Watching them develop their skills and grow as athletes inspired me to work with other young athletes and help them achieve their potential. Since then, I have coached many different teams in various sports, including baseball, and I have developed a deep passion for coaching young athletes. Over the years, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I am constantly learning and adapting my coaching approach to best serve the needs of each athlete.

Introduction and Assessment: The first thing I do when working with a new youth baseball athlete is to introduce myself and get to know them. I want to establish a positive relationship with the athlete so they feel comfortable working with me. During this introduction, I also ask questions to assess their current skill level and experience with baseball.

Initial Skill Assessment: Once I have introduced myself and assessed the athlete's experience, I conduct an initial skill assessment. This helps me understand their strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for improvement.

Goal Setting: After the initial skill assessment, I work with the athlete to set goals. I want to ensure that the athlete's goals are realistic and achievable, and I help them develop a plan to achieve these goals.

Training and Skill Development: Once we have established goals and a plan, I start working with the athlete to develop their skills. This may include working on basic skills like throwing, catching, and hitting, as well as more advanced techniques like pitching and fielding.

Evaluation and Adjustment: As the athlete progresses, I continue to evaluate their skills and make adjustments to their training plan as needed. I want to ensure that the athlete is continually making progress towards their goals and that we are addressing any areas where they may be struggling.

Celebration and Recognition: Finally, when the athlete reaches their goals or achieves a significant milestone, I make sure to celebrate their success and recognize their hard work and dedication. This helps to build their confidence and motivate them to continue improving their skills.

I like to work with all youth athletes. I prefer 6 - 18 years old.

If you are a student looking to hire a teacher in the area of youth athletics, here are a few pieces of advice:

Look for a Teacher with Experience: When it comes to working with youth athletes, experience is key. Look for a teacher who has experience working with young athletes in the sport you are interested in. A teacher with experience will be able to provide better guidance and support, and will be better equipped to handle any challenges that may arise.

Check for Certifications and Credentials: Look for a teacher who has the necessary certifications and credentials to teach youth athletics. This can include coaching certifications, first aid and CPR training, and other relevant qualifications.

Evaluate Teaching Style and Philosophy: Every teacher has their own teaching style and philosophy. Look for a teacher whose style and philosophy align with your own goals and values. This will help ensure that you have a positive and productive learning experience.

Consider the Teacher's Availability and Accessibility: It's important to find a teacher who is available and accessible when you need them. Consider factors like scheduling, location, and communication when choosing a teacher.

Read Reviews and Ask for Recommendations: Finally, be sure to read reviews and ask for recommendations from other students, parents, or coaches. This can provide valuable insight into the teacher's skills, experience, and teaching style, and can help you make a more informed decision.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Here are some questions that students should think through before talking to coaches about their needs:

What are my specific needs? It's important to identify your specific needs before talking to a teacher. Do you need help with a particular skill or technique? Are you looking to improve your overall performance in the sport? Are there any specific challenges or obstacles you are facing that you need help with?

What are my goals? It's important to have clear goals in mind when talking to a teacher. What do you hope to achieve by working with a coach? Do you have specific goals for the upcoming season or for your long-term development as an athlete?

What is my learning style? Different students have different learning styles, and it's important to consider your own learning style when talking to a coach. Do you learn best through hands-on practice? Are you a visual learner who benefits from demonstrations? Do you need a coach who is patient and supportive, or do you respond better to more challenging and demanding instruction?

What is my schedule like? It's important to consider your schedule when talking to a coach . How much time do you have available for practice and instruction? What days and times are you available? Are there any scheduling conflicts that need to be worked around?

What are my expectations? It's important to have clear expectations for what you hope to get out of working with a coach . Do you expect regular feedback and progress reports?
