About Cristina

Online and versatile tutoring to fit your schedule and academic needs. I am passionate about learning for understanding, all while helping students achieve their scholastic goals.

I am a registered pharmacist and have strength all things STEM, from algebra and geometry to biology, chemistry, biochemistry and anatomy.

I love to help students, not only to understand the material but to become enthusiastic about the material. Learning is not a chore, it is a priviledge and we should all be life-long learners. I love to see students embrace this culture and approach their studies with open intelectual minds!

I have done voluntary teaching for Sunday school for high schoolers for the past two years. Upon completion of my Doctorate I decided to branch out into academics in addition to theology.

I have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and currently work as a registered pharmacist. Since I love learning and have strong study habits, I strive to serve other students and aspiring professionals. Not only do I want students to get good grades, I aim to foster strong study habits and fundamental understanding of the subjects they wish to master.

About the lesson

I like to discover what the student's goals are from tutoring sessions. If the student needs help due to trouble understanding I start at a more basic level to ensure a good foundation is set then work from there into more complex concepts. If the student understands material but needs more practice I provide memorization tips and practice problems, quizzes, and material for self-evaluation. I try my best to adapt my style to what the student needs.

I have worked with high school students.

Look for somebody who will meet you where you are. If your teacher does not understand your needs, you will not understand the material. Learning should not be a chore but an amazing discovery, find a teacher that makes you enthusiastic about your studies and who helps you develop strong habits such as time-managment and studying effectively.
