About Sandeep

I earned my Doctorate in Biochemistry and Master in Biotechnology with 10 plus years of experience teaching students from high school to Master programme. My experience of working in several international companies as a scientist and as an assistant professor in Michigan State University allows me to not only teach students specific aspects of subjects but to prepare them to pursue their research career in the field of biotechnology in industries and academic institutions. Teaching is not just a job for me but its a passion to do something noble for the society and prepare young generation to build a better future as a scientist in different disciplines of biology including Biochemistry, Microbiology, plant biology, biotechnology.

You can find more detail about my qualification on following Weblink:

(concealed information)

As an academic scientist, my work has been focused on understanding and teaching fundamental aspects of animal and plant biology. Its intellectually exciting for me to ask important scientific questions, design relevant experiments, analyze results and understand the findings to answer the question. The most exciting part is to teach students to apply this entire process in their professional scientific career.

I started teaching during my Ph.D. as a teaching assistant.

I have a Ph.D. plus 10 years of experience of teaching undergraduates, masters, Ph.D. and postdoctoral students in several prestigious academic institutes and industries.

About the lesson

The first step of teaching is to listen to the student's likes and dislikes of a subject and provide positive feedback to make sure the student feel comfortable in communicating with you.

The first step leads a path to understand the strengths and weaknesses of students related to the subject and its understanding and make them an integral part of my teaching strategies to help them understand the subject under study instead of memorizing it.

Explain students the importance of the subject by providing real-life examples and exciting facts to create their interest in the subject.

Once the student is interested in the subject and feels comfortable in communicating, my teaching strategies has three steps:

1) Set up the course work and stick to the timeline to complete it.

2) Ask questions to make sure student is understanding every bit of my lecture, and most importantly encourage the student to ask questions for their active participation in the lecture.

3) Provide homework, monthly test and discussion session to monitor the progress of the student.
