About Dominique
My name is Dominique and I am current Biomedical Science PhD student at UConn Health. I have both a B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science and am passionate about biology, physiology, and general science. I have previous teaching experience as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer at the University of Connecicut. I love to teach and help sutdents understand different aspects of biology and science. I got started teaching during my Master's at the University of Connecticut where I served as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer.
I have a B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science and am currently working towards at PhD in Biomedical Science at UConn Health. During graduate school I served as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer for multiple undergraduate courses. I have also trained and managed both high school and college students to work in a laboratory.

I like to work with students eithe one on one or in small groups. I think it is important to lay out information clearly and have ways to measure progress. I think each student is an individual, so it is important to adapt my tutoring style to the needs of each person.
I have worked with undergraduate students in a classroom setting. I have also mentored high school and college students individually.
I would advise a student to hire a tutor who is passionate about teaching and who you are comfortable working with. Make sure you find a person who inspires you to learn.
