About Althea
I'm not just a cook but a educator. Before I entered culinary school I was a education major. While in school I worked as a cooking coach before transitioning to restaurants. Then to private Catering and on to Hotel Management. I am well versed in food. I create my own recipes. I will share tips that I've gathered along the way and interesting real life people who shared skills with me. I have cooked for reputable private catering companies. I have served a plethora of clients of status in media and politics.
Coming from a strong Catering background its about volume without loosing quality. I love teaching about food. Not only cooking techniques but where ingredients were sourced and how that varies by countries. I'm most happy when I have students take multiple classes and share with me the experience when the cooked recipes they learned and shared it with others. I will teach students technique, and applications that will help them look at the landscape of food differently
