About Sara
Get one-on-one art instruction from an experienced artist in a small class environment.
During a four-week cycle each student will have individual instruction such as covering the foundations in art which include, shapes, shading, structural balance, perspective and quality hands-on experience with a variety of media such as charcoal, acrylic, graphite, watercolor and colored pencil. The student can also choose the medium of their choice. From than on, the student has an option to move forward to a more intensive program where they can learn the techniques and styles of the most influencial artists of the world.
Im a professional artist with over 10 years of experience as an art instructor, with a Bachelors Degree in Art from UNLV. I have taught in non-profit organizations for children and the school district. During my extensive travel in Europe I have studied the world’s greatest works of art and has apprenticed with exceptional artists. I am passionate about helping others build their creativity and skills, with a well thought out method that will ensure growth. Im friendly, patient, and encouraging to all my students. I meet with the student one on one, and or the parent if there is children involved. We discuss and evaluate what level of skills and experience the student has, so we can determine what is needed. From there, depending on their skill level, they are introduced to basic skills in drawing, and work with various mediums so they may choose the type of medium,(acrylic, watercolor, graphite, colored pencil,charcoal), they want to learn from.
