About Kathleen
I’m a professional artist of MANY mediums. Choose from lessons in: Watercolor, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Soft Pastels, pencils and charcoal drawin, landscape painting, Still life painting, portraiture, Figure drawing, And much much more!
My experience:
1. I was a traveling homeschool art teacher for two years 2. I taught at Pinot's palette for almost three years 3. I organized and taught a week long camp for refugee children with many art mediums 4. I am the founder and teacher of a non profit organization that teaches art classes/programs 5. I'm currently with the after school arts program teaching in elementary schools in Des Moines 6. I also have been an artist resident in the Des Moines public schools.

Kathleen has such a wonderful energenic personality. Her love of art comes through her teaching skills & that makes learning fun for everyone. I have not only taken lessons from Kathleen but also worked with her during an art camp for children. She was truly amazing. The kids all followed her instructions eagerly & their creativity was allowed to blossom . 1st rate!
She was patient and was able to answer all of my questions.
Kathy was very patient and encouraging. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination yet she encouraged me as I stepped out in uncharted territory for myself. I am so happy with the result!!! I now have a painting on my wall that I receive compliments on often! She had faith in me to create when I was skeptical myself.
