About Abigail

I love teaching anyone and everyone, no matter the skill level to feel confortable making art. I am a fine artist as well as a cartoonists, so I can give my students the encourage they need by giving a different perspective on their progress as well as how to improve.

I have been drawing since grade school, so for roughly 20 years. I am currently at Delaware Tech in the Visual Communication department, learning from creative business owners, and freelance artists part time. Alot of my work has made it into the college art show, even the online art show during the pandemic. I am certified in Adobe Photoshop, though I am more proficiant in Adobe Illustrator, and dabbled in InDesign.

I have taught Adobe Illustrator online for my local Library, and before the quarentine, taught painting classes at Painting With A Twist.

I have taught fellow employees work skills since I started working at a pizza shop in 2008. I have had a knack for teaching skills I have learned along the way, whether it be art skills or work skills since then. I love helping fellow students with common projects, and projects I've never worked on before, but have general knowledge on the subject.

I have taught paintnig classes to kids and adults at Painting With A Twist before the shutdown. I have also taught a few classes on Adobe Illustrator online at my local library for anyone who wanted to learn graphic design. I have taken many drawing and art classes since high school, and into college where I have helped many fellow students with their assignments. Honestly, I usually have more ideas for others than I do for myself. I love to teach what I've learned.

About the lesson

I would ask a few questions about what classes they need help with, and how much time they can allucate to other classes to make a plan for the art projects. What their teachers are like so I can keep them within the guidlines of the assignments. That, and untimitely tell them to have fun with it to help destrass them as much as possible. Art should be a destressor not a burden.

*Also, I am currently working as a graphic designer from 9-6pm Monday-Fridays, so weekdays in the late evening or weekends on Saturday, or Sunday before 5pm would work best for my schedule!

I have worked with novice students wanting to learn a new skill, or to just pass the class and move on, to peers learning the field of art. I also taught an older classmate who had little to no pryer knowledge of computers before fall 2020.

If they have a protfolio that looks fairly diverse, and their bio seems flexible to your needs, then I would contact them.

I went to an older classmates house (with a mask on and social distancing), because this was her first semester of classes in college. She had only used her computer for online shopping before this, and was struggling to learn how to use the computer for online classes during the pandemic. She was continually grateful to me for teaching her the basics of computers.

$30/hr for high school per child. Full refund on cancellations 24 hr in advance, half refunds with in 24 hrs. 10% for paying the sum at begining of month.
